CALENDAR USAGE
Use of the calendar is 100% Mandatory. Every raid day must have a sign up of some type. Sign ups close at 4:00 server the day of any particular raid.
Your choices are:
1. ATTENDING
This option means you will BE ON TIME and WILL NOT BE LEAVING EARLY. You will be allowed 1 free pass per month for a no show, late show, sudden need to leave early etc. Further infractions will result in a docking of dkp, demotion to member status, or /gkick at the Gm'S discretion. You will receive 1 full dkp point for atendance of an entire raid.
2. NOT ATTENDING
This option means you WILL NOT BE ONLINE during raid time.
Raiders are expected to have the desire to raid as much as possible. If you are online & hadn't expected to be, you must inform the raid leader of your availability. Raiders that signed up as planning to be there will be given priority over raiders that are on unexpectedly.
If you are seen online when you said you wouldn't be and you do not message the GM with a good reason and can convince her, you will be removed from the raider list.
The calendar option of *I don't feel like it* does not exist.
3. ATTENDING LATE
This option means you will be ATTENDING BUT CANNOT BE THERE WHEN THE RAID STARTS.
You must make a note of the approximate time you will be on. Erring on the side of caution when picking an approximate time is highly reccommended.
If you just don't know, you may want to sign up as not coming with a note you might be there & your approximate time. You may receive a full or partial dkp point based on just how late you are.
4. ATTENDING BUT LEAVING EARLY
This option means you will be ATTENDING, AVAILABLE AT THE START OF THE RAID BUT MUST LEAVE EARLY.
You must include an exact time you will be leaving. You may receive a full or partial dkp point based on just how early you leave.
You are given ONE FREE PASS A MONTH for unexpected needing to leave early.
I realize we all can be slaves to the technology as unforseen outtages can occur, storms brew etc., but the GM and Officers are not stupid. Think twice before you try to offer a lame *my dog ate my homework* excuse.
You are responsible for your sign up and it's accuracy. Communication is vital to successful planning.
=================
RAIDER REQUIREMENTS
1. You must maintain an average attendance of 2 raids per week. Extended periods of absence due to real life issues are acceptable such as vacations, moves, deployment, etc. but must be communicated to the GM.
2. Raiders are expected to research encounters in advance. Going in blind is unacceptable and will be obvious. If you don't know what to research or where, it is your responsibility to find out from the GM what our current & next projects are.
3. Raiders are expected to be constantly attempting to master every encounter whether trash, boss, progression, or farm. Doing what you are told is not enough. Raiders are expected to evolve to the point that they don't have to be constantly instructed through an encounter. They are expected to eventually not only know what to do but why they are doing it.
4. Raiders are expected to have Ventrilo, Deadly Boss Mods, and Omen. Links to those tools are on the Midnight Rage Website.
5. Raiders are expected to learn what Deadly Boss Mods is telling them, and how to react to it. This goes hand in hand with researching & mastering the encounter. DBM is an incredibly powerful mod when enabled by a raider but useless to someone that doesn't watch it or know what it is telling them.
6. Raiders are expected to use Omen Threat Meter. Excessive pulling of aggro demonstrates a lack of skill at raiding. Pulling aggro is counterproductive to the overall squads goals regardless of the individual raiders goal or ability to maximizing output from his/her toon.
7. Raiders are expected to come to raids fully repaired and stocked with buff mats. Needing to repair after a death or 2 or running out of buff mats after an hour is a waste of everyone elses time & will result in a dkp deduction.
8. Raiders are expected to treat each other with courtesy, manners & respect during raids. Arguing, bickering, snide remarks, & unconstructive criticisms are counterproductive to a squads cohesion, cooperation, and success. Raiders that can't maintain civility will be docked dkp, removed from the raid, muted, demoted to member, booted from the guild or any combination of the above.
9. Raiders are expected to demonstrate an understanding of their class & a constant desire to improve at it's role in a raid.
They must be specced properly for raiding.
They must know their various "caps" and minimums.
They must fully and properly gem & enchant every piece of gear they normally wear or may be asked to wear in a raid. This includes off spec gear which must be carried by the raider during raid time.
10. Raiders must demonstrate an ability to comprehend strategies & follow instructions. Raiders that repeatedly do not do what they are told will be demoted and replaced in the squad.
11. Raiders are expected to demonstrate focus during raid time. Banter, joking around, and keeping it light are fine when the raid is going smoothly. Once wipes start, play time is over. Raiders need to shush and concentrate. All boss encounters should be nonsense free & treated as serious business.
Excessive non productive chatter is also frowned upon as it causes time wasting, distraction, and a loss of focus.
People who cannot shut their traps will be muted on vent.
Anyone who excessively clutters up raid chat will be put on STFU mode.
