You may notice that your name will have 4 different colors on the schedule.
Green = Approved Light Blue = Awaiting Approval Dark Blue = Waitlist Red = Denied
If you are approved, you are in the starting lineup. You are guaranteed a spot in the raid.
If you are waitlisted you will be brought in as needed.
You might get into the starting lineup if there is a no show from the approved group.
You might get into the group if someone has to leave early.
You might get into the group if we need to mix up the classes to increase our chances versus a particular boss.
You might not get into the group at all. But you will still receive a loot point for the raid.
Everyone in the guild is encouraged to sign up and attend raids. Everyone is welcomed.
If a member is listed as "Denied" it will probably either be because they are saved to another raid ID or they let someone know that they couldn't attend but couldnt get to the site to remove their sign up.
There are a whole lot of factors that will go into how I set rosters on any particular raid day. I have to consider gear, experience, class composition, how often certian members are getting in, who isn't getting in enough, who seems interested in going as much as possible, and who seems like they just want to sign up whenever they feel like it ect.
Weighing all of the factors, I will set rosters that I feel have a chance at success. I am anal about fairness but there is a fairness factor in balancing everyone getting in, and giving those that do get in a reasonable chance to actually succeed. There is no point in going if we are just going to wrack up repair bills with a group that can't down anything. End game is hard enough without stacking the odds against us.
If you are not in the starting line up, I promise that it isn't personal. If you want to ask me why you weren't in the lineup for any particular raid feel free to drop me a private post on the forum or hit me up when I'm not busy in game. Odds are the answer will be as simple as "It was Member X's turn".
Everyone will get in regularly but if you want to increase your odds of getting in I would suggest the following:
Go to as many 5 mans as you can. This will increase your gear factor.
Sign up and get on the list for as many end game events as you can.
Class composition is a major factor. The more often that you are signed up, the more times I have to slot you as the Mage that is needed for AoE vs X encounter, or the Priest we need for dispelling vs Z encounter etc.
The more you sign up the more you increase your interest factor as well. I want members to stay content. If you show that you are really interested in end game and want to go always, I will probably make more of an effort to get you in as much as possible. If you only sign up and want to go now and then, it will probably be less of a priority to get you in as much as possible. |
